ANZAC Day service

WHAT: North Bondi RSL sub-branch Anzac Day Dawn Service.
WHEN: 5:55 am, Thursday, 25 April 2024.
WHERE: North Bondi RSL, 118 -120 Ramsgate Ave, North Bondi

As the sun rose on 25 April 1915, Australian and New Zealand soldiers faced their first major battle of World War I. They fought with endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour, and mateship—values we’ve come to know as the ANZAC spirit and that live on in us.

Every year since, Australians have gathered to remember their legacy and that of all who have followed in their footsteps.

Around 10,000 people are expected to stand on the sand and shores of North Bondi on Anzac Day, remembering those who ran ashore on the beach at Gallipoli.

The ANZAC Day service has been running here since the 60s when the club was built on the current premises. Each year, the service grows. From humble beginnings to the thousands we see here in more recent years.

We aim our service at families and encourage those young & old to attend. Starting that little bit later enables us to cater for that demographic.

The Sub-Branch ANZAC Day Committee have planned the Sub-Branch dawn service, which all members have been invited to attend. For those members who are able to attend and have not yet sent an RSVP please email to confirm your attendance at your earliest convenience.
